Push Button Publishing [Within A Certain Time Period]

Thanks to the punks and punkettes at Zone Alarm my internet connection of late has been unstable to say the least. After being on the net for about five minutes I get a message saying that it's "timed out" and that "the page cannot be displayed" then when I try to view another webpage I get re-directed to some kind of crazy ass site about Zone Alarm where they tell me an error has occurred within the Zone Alarm system and they have "locked out" my net usage in order to prevent further problems occurring. Muffett has been doing his best to help me sort out the problem using his vast knowledge [vast compared to me anyway] and at one point even using "remote assistance" through msn messenger to take control of my computer, which was actually more hilarious than helpful "wow, the mouse is moving all on it's on teehee" etc. I finally resorting to deleting [un-install wouldn't function] Zone Alarm and all related files which at the moment is working but if it goes "tits up" again it will mean that if I want to use the net I will have to do whatever I need to do on it within the time frame I have when I first connect, so Posts In 60 Seconds will perhaps become the order of the day.

BBC in "Scissor-Gate"

Yesterday my eyes happened to wonder upon a magazine, specifically BBC's Toybox "Teach Me" it's a fun mag with cute/naff tie ins with BBC program's to help kids learn. What is so interesting that you felt you had to tell me about it I hear your cold eyes scream!? Well the mag had a free gift with it, although free weapon may have been a more appropriate way of describing it. The gift was a set of scissors, surely the BBC aren't stupid enough to give kids scissors? It's like saying "Here kids, play with sharp things, they are fun!" Okay so maybe they aren't very sharp but they have to be a little sharp or they become less scissors and more weirdly shaped plastic objects. I fully expect next months free gift to be a set of knifes.

Doves

Last night and again today I heard and through the medium of video saw the new song/video from the Doves, Black and White Town is their first single off the new album Some Cities. While being similar to work on their previous album it also feels fresh and new. Fans will love it and it may even help to draw the attention of newcomers who are unfamilar with the Doves work. The single is released Feb7th with the album out Feb21st.

Wires: By Athlete

you got wires, goin in
you got wires, comin out of your skin
you got tears
making tracks
i got tears
that are scared of the facts

running down corridors
through automatic doors
got to get to you
got to see this through
i see hope is here in a plastic box
i've seen christmas lights reflect in your eyes

you got wires, goin in
you got wires, comin out of your skin
there's dry blood on your wrist
your dry blood on my fingertip

running down corridors
through automatic doors
got to get to you
got to see this through
first night of your life
curled up on your own
looking at you now
you would never know

i see it in your eyes
i see it in your eyes
you'll be alright

i see it in your eyes
i see it in your eyes
you'll be alright
Alright

running down corridors
through automatic doors
got to get to you
got to see this through
i see hope is here in a plastic box
i've seen christmas lights reflect in your eyes

down corridors
through automatic doors
got to get to you
got to see this through
first night of your life
curled up on your own
looking at you now
you would never know

Coldplay

Today I was lucky enough to catch an interview with Will Champion [or Champers as his friends may or may not refer to him as] on radio one, Jo Whiley tried to get as much information about the new Coldplay album out of him as possible although despite it being his first proper interview in 16 months he didn't give much away. He did however give away the title of one track "What If" and said it was a personal favorite and that it was "pretty epic by Coldplays standard". He also said they have about 14 or 15 songs to choose from but want to get it down to 11 or 10. For more on Coldplay check out the newly re-vamped Coldplay.com.

One Of Those Moments

Occasionally we all have one of those moments where you go "what day is it?" Theresa has about fifty of these everyday hilariously. But seriously, what time is it? Okay, I actually know what the time is but I don't think my body does because it's nearly 2am and I am wide awake. It's something to do with having so much time off work because of Christmas and New Year, but I would pay good money [Monopoply money] to the person [scientist dude] who could coherently explain to me exactly why this happens. So there is your challenge for the year, your goal is to find out why my body doesn't know what day/time it is. Go!

Happy New Year

Let me start by saying [although I like just did in the title], happy new year to you all and get well soon to Muffles. Much is the same as it was a whole year ago, it's just 05 instead of 04 folks, although i'm sure I will continue writing 04 for several months to come. Word of the minute is Crumpets. Let me end this first post of the year by saying my thoughts are with those people that have been affected in anyway by the tragic Asian earthquake and resulting Tsunamis disaster of which at least 120,000 people have lost their lives. There are many places you can give money here is just one.
